Yesterday evening, I was busy helping to put groceries away while Mom cooked dinner...and my cell phone rang... It was my friend, Ashley...(a friend of mine that I met in Germany while we were both stationed there...and now, we both live here in San Antonio...so cool!) Ashley had called to tell me that she had just gotten 2 tickets to go see "A Conversation with Julie Andrews" downtown at the Majestic Theatre! An aquaintance of hers bought the tickets, but he and his wife were unable to attend and didn't want the tickets to go to waste...so they offered them to Ashley...and Ashley, in turn, invited me! And, I was so glad she did! It turned out to be such a neat night! They showed a 20 or 30-minute video montage of all of Julie Andrews' work...and then, Julie Andrews, herself, came out and spoke to the audience...sharing all kinds of funny stories and giving a short synopsis of how her career got started... "Dame" Andrews is so captivating! Afterward, she sat down with the host for the evening and answered some questions members from the audience had submitted... Ashley and I laughed and laughed...and enjoyed the whole evening so much... What a nice surprise for what would've been just a regular Tuesday night!

You won't believe this but JD's parents just sat next to her on a plane to LA today. She must've been returning from the performance you saw! AND, his mom was able to get a photo with her :) Crazy coincidences...
